I herewith wish to testify to the healing through Christian Science of my fourteen year old daughter of kidney trouble and a dropsical condition in its severest form. I had Christian Science treatment for her, and the pain left and did not return, but the girth of her body seemed to increase within the next few days, so I yielded to my husband's wish to call in a physician. After a brief examination he diagnosed the case as a serious affection of the kidneys and of the abdomen, in its most advanced stage, and said that it had already reached the heart; that our daughter should be taken at once and with all precautions to the nearest hospital and not left one moment without medical attendance. He finished by saying: "Whoever takes it upon himself to continue treatment here at home acts without conscience. I shall not do it, neither shall I come again."

I could not make up my mind to turn my child over to some one else. Now was the time to show implicit reliance on the omnipotent help of God, the great Physician. The practitioner continued her work fearlessly; no material remedies of any kind were employed, neither was there any change of diet. The result was that within a comparatively short time the water disappeared from the system. Six years have elapsed since then, and my daughter is in the best of health.
