Some people have formed the opinion that Christian Science is "merely a system of bodily healing," as it was expressed by a clergyman in a sermon reported recently.
Christian Science is founded on the Bible, especially the life and teachings of Christ Jesus, and has nothing in common with mental suggestion, mesmerism, or hypnotism.

When I first heard of Christian Science it was after years of dependence on doctors and medicine; in fact I am quite sure there were not six months from my earliest infancy that I did not take medicine of some kind.
I herewith wish to testify to the healing through Christian Science of my fourteen year old daughter of kidney trouble and a dropsical condition in its severest form.
