Christian Science is founded on the Bible, especially the life and teachings of Christ Jesus, and has nothing in common with mental suggestion, mesmerism, or hypnotism. The spiritual understanding of God which enabled Jesus and his followers to heal the sick can never be accurately portrayed through story-book or drama, for, as the Bible states, spiritual things must be "spiritually discerned."

The text-book of Christian Science, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, states and elucidates the healing Principle of Christian Science, and these, truths can be demonstrated in proportion to the spiritual understanding of the student.
