I feel it both a duty and a privilege to add my testimony to that of the unnumbered thousands who have received healing and other blessings through Christian Science.

Some years ago my young son surprised me by returning from school in the middle of the morning session. One look at his face, however, told me that he was feeling very ill, and as there was at that time an epidemic of scarlet fever in his school, I had no doubt as to what had been in his teacher's thought when she hurried him home. For a moment I was terrified; then I determined to send for a friend who is a Christian Science practitioner, and put the case in her hands.

When this lady arrived, the child was in bed, his face flushed with fever, and he was getting delirious; but after she had sat silently beside him for some time, to my wonderment and joy I saw the unnatural color fading from his face, and his eyes regained their normal expression. Soon the delirious raving ceased, and he fell into a peaceful sleep. The same afternoon he got up and dressed, declaring himself to be all right, and that was the end of what I feel sure would have been a serious illness had it not been for the blessed salvation wrought by Christian Science. That I was not alone in this belief was evidenced by his teacher, who would not allow him to return to school for the remainder of the week, she was so positive she had sent him home ill with the dreadful disease.
