Christian Science was first presented to me over three...

Christian Science was first presented to me over three years ago by a friend who had been greatly benefited by it. At that time I was in very poor health, being subject to severe headaches as well as nervous and stomach troubles. I had tried several physicians, but received no relief, although medicine was taken continually. The year before Christian Science was brought to my notice the headaches became more frequent and severe, and there was scarcely a day that I was free from pain, but I am happy to say that all these ailments were gradually overcome through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and treatment from a practitioner. An attack of acute lung trouble was overcome through the faithful help of the same practitioner, and I suffered no ill effects, but was able to continue my work. Eight years ago I was in bed for weeks with a similar attack and did not regain my strength for months.

I am very thankful to God for these healings and for all the blessings that have come to me through Christian Science, and I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for giving to the world this glorious truth.—Amella Butcher, Naugatuck, Conn.

I became interested in Christian Science through the healing of my mother. This truth has been of great benefit to me, enabling me to a great extent to overcome fear, worry, extreme sensitiveness, prejudice toward people, and many other errors. Through the reading of Science and Health I have been healed of bowel disorder and catarrh, to both of which I had been subject for years. For a number of years I thought it necessary to lie down each day in order to be well and strong, especially when recovering from a severe illness, but now I know that God is my strength, and that "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." I can do any amount of work and almost never know what it is to be fatigued.
