I have received so much help from the testimonies in our periodicals that I wish to tell of my experience in Christian Science. I had been treated for chronic bowel trouble by five different physicians, but without relief. When my sister from California, who is greatly interested in Christian Science, paid me a visit, I was very miserable, as I had undergone several operations and had been under the doctor's care for about twenty years. She therefore asked me why I did not try Christian Science, and when I consented, she found in the Journal the name of the nearest practitioner and made an appointment over the telephone for that afternoon. After six treatments I was entirely healed. At the same time an annoying skin disease vanished. That was several years ago, and I have never taken any medicine since. I have been healed of two attacks of influenza, and also of severe cramps, which had lasted for hours before I asked for treatment.

It would be impossible for me to express in words our thankfulness for the wonderful healings which have taken place in our family. I am thankful to God that many times I am able to help myself by simply reading Science and Health, which certainly has opened up the Scriptures for me. I am deeply grateful for the understanding of God gained through the teachings of Mrs. Eddy.
