I feel impelled to express my gratitude for the good which has come to me through Christian Science. For years I was afflicted every winter with a catarrhal condition of the lungs and had to consult physicians, without, however, experiencing and permanent relief, as the trouble seemed to return every year in an aggravated form. About two years ago I was led to investigate the teachings of Christian Science through an acquaintance. In December, 1914, the trouble set in again in a very severe form. My daughter, who is a faithful adherent of Christian Science, was watching me with a certain anxiety, in view of the fact that the other members of the family who did not know of Christ Science then insisted that a physician be called immediately. This was done, as they despaired of my recovery; but I refused to take medicine, knowing it to be useless. We wrote without further delay to a Christian Science practitioner, asking for help, and with a few treatments I was completely restored to health.
For this healing I praise God, and am most deeply grateful to the Discoverer of Christian Science for the truth as presented therein, whereby we may avail ourselves of it and realize its healing power. I am truly thankful that our steps were directed into the path leading to this glorious truth.
