Several years ago I came into Christian Science to be healed of what is called anemia. After telling the practitioner all my troubles, she said I would be as Paul some day,—that I would even be grateful for my afflictions. At that time I did not see how I could ever be grateful for the state I was in, for I had just been operated on and was left in a very weak condition; besides, my husband was having business reverses.
My healing seemed rather slow, as I had steady treatment for a little more than a year. About two months before the healing took place I wondered why I was gaining so slowly; then I found that I was not willing to become "as a little child." There were many "ifs" and "whys" and "buts," and when I willingly accepted and practised the truth, I was healed. Since that time, I have had many beautiful demonstrations, one of which was a case of childbirth. The birth was perfectly normal, taking just a short time and with but little pain. I am grateful for all the blessings that have come to us through Christian Science, and for the understanding I have of the truth as given in Science and Health; also for a growing realization that to know more of God is "the bread of life."—Minnie A. Gage, Chicago, Ill.
