For over five years I had been suffering from what the medical faculty called a typhoid leg. I had undergone an internal operation, and the condition of the leg was the result of the complaint for which I was operated on. During these years I never knew a minute's peace, for the leg troubled me continually, and I went about all the time in fear that it might even cause death.
In the beginning of September, 1912, I was induced to seek the aid of a Christian Science practitioner, and with two weeks' absent treatment I was healed. From that time until last September I did not feel the slightest symptoms of relapse; but one morning I awoke with a sense that my leg was paining me. At this time I was being treated for supposed internal strain, so I asked practitioner to treat me for this other ailment also. In three days I was cured of both troubles, and have been in perfect health ever since. I rejoice greatly over the fact that I have been brought into a fuller understanding of the allness of God, that I am His child, and that my life must be devoted to His service. I am also truly grateful for the revelation of Truth given to our revered Leader and handed on to us by her. I joyfully pass on the good news to others.
Christian Science has opened up for me a new view of life, and I am deeply grateful for all it has done for me.
