Bicknell Young delivered three lectures on Christian Science in Seventh Church. At the first lecture he was introduced by George M. Spangler, Jr., who said in part:—

Christian Science is today being looked into by many people, and in the course of their investigations they are asking many questions about Christian Science; questions both as to whether it heals the sick and as to how it heals them. Anticipating that these and similar questions would be asked, and desiring that correct answers might be given thereto, also with the desire that there might be a dissemination of correct information generally relative to Christian Science, Mrs. Eddy wisely instituted the Christian Science board of lectureship.

In introducing Mr. Young at the second lecture, Walter H. Van Zwoll said in part:—
