For eight years I suffered from a chronic organic trouble
For eight years I suffered from a chronic organic trouble. First a number of allopathic physicians were given a thorough trial. One advised an operation, which was performed, but it left me in a worse condition than before, with other sufferings added. Then I turned to homeopathy. After going to one doctor for six months, he said he could not help me, and advised osteopathy or Christian Science, so I tried the former for about a year. All did what they could for me, but to no avail.
At last I turned to Christian Science, and went to a faithful practitioner, who led me to see that God is indeed Love. I had reached a point where everywhere about me seemed confusion, and her clear statements led me on until I realized that "happiness is spiritual, born of Truth and Love" (Science and Health, p. 57). I was healed of the organic trouble, also of chronic bowel disorder, severe headaches, neuritis, and bladder trouble. I had worn glasses for eight years, but in one treatment my eyes were healed.
Words cannot express my thankfulness to God, and my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy and to all who have helped me. My desire is to follow in the path that leads on and up to God.
