The remark that "Christian Science is capable of doing...

Stroud (England) Journal

The remark that "Christian Science is capable of doing both harm and good," which appeared in your paper, is apparently the result of a misunderstanding on the speaker's part. It is as impossible for Christian Science to work harm as it would be for good to work evil, for the reason that its Principle is divine Mind, God, Life, Truth, Love. This divine Principle is demonstrated now as of old in healing sickness and sin, in the destruction of evil in whatever form it presents itself. As Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 407), "Christian Science is the sovereign panacea, giving strength to the weakness of mortal mind,—strength from the immortal and omnipotent Mind,—and lifting humanity above itself into purer desires, even into spiritual power and good will to man."
