I have been healed through Christian Science of painful corns, the fear of poison-oak, severe headache, an impatient disposition, and other weaknesses. For this I am very grateful, but yet more so for the spiritual understanding of the Bible gained through the study of Science and Health. At first I was not willing to study the Lesson-Sermon, always giving as an excuse that I did not have time. One day the practitioner lovingly asked if I did not feel the need of spiritual food just as much as material nourishment, and I have found that I did need it, and now look forward with pleasure to the time set apart each morning for the study of the Lesson.

Two articles in "Miscellaneous Writings" by Mrs. Eddy, "Love Your Enemies" (p. 8) and "Taking Offense" (p. 223), have been very helpful to me in overcoming a sense of hatred of many years' standing. Words are inadequate to express my appreciation of the Sunday services and Wednesday evening meetings, and of our literature with its loving messages. For all these blessings I am truly thankful to God, and grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
