I am glad to testify to the wonderful transformation that has taken place in my life through the healing and saving truth as taught in Science and Health. About Sept. 1, 1910, I was healed of nervous and stomach trouble, and a serious intestinal difficulty of ten years' standing, after exhausting the methods of materia medica and dietetic theories. Fear, despair, temper, and hopelessness were paramount. I was practically at the end of the coil of mortal existence, and I cried out in my extremity that I would accept anything which promised relief. At this period Christian Science was brought to me, and I sought a practitioner who gave me treatment. I had never read the Bible or even touched it, but the practitioner loaned me one, and eventually I borrowed a copy of Science and Health and was shown how to study the Lesson-Sermon. After the first treatment I could eat anything I wished, and have done so ever since. Many ailments have been destroyed, such as colds, headaches, etc.

The year after my healing I met with an accident,—was dragged by a trolley car several feet, and sustained a severe injury to both foot and ankle. My wife called for help from the practitioner, and I was able to go to business the next day. While I am grateful for the physical healing, it is nothing to be compared with the joy and peace which the knowledge of the truth has brought to me.
