Never will I forget the joy, peace, happiness, and freedom ...
Never will I forget the joy, peace, happiness, and freedom that took possession in my heart when I got my first glimpse of Christian Science at a Wednesday evening meeting about four years ago. In addition to the spiritual awakening which inspires and brings comfort, we have had much experience with the healing power of Truth in our home.
My little boy, injured at the time of birth, had been troubled for five years with a severe bladder difficulty that was very uncomfortable and annoying. We had faithfully tried material remedies and doctors without avail, but under Christian Science treatment he was completely healed in a comparatively short time, and now for some years there has been no indication of any return of the trouble. When my little daughter was quite young, I was told by the doctor that she would probably have to wear glasses for structural defect of the eye, and after starting to school she was troubled with severe headaches. With a few treatments in Christian Science, however, the eye became perfectly straight and the headaches stopped. I might mention many other instances in which our family has experienced the blessings of divine Love. Through the aid of the Christian Science literature we have been able to help ourselves and our children.
I cannot too cheerfully express my thankfulness for the comfort that this truth brings; the enlightenment of joy and peace that it brings, and how helpful we find it when the pathway is difficult and thorny. I am also deeply grateful for all those who have helped me to walk in the right way, especially for the better acquaintance with the true God as divine Love, and for His messenger, our Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
