For the countless blessings that have come to me and mine through Christian Science, I wish to express my thankfulness to God, also to bear testimony to a recent healing. On Monday night before Christmas, 1912, while at my work, I became very ill. When I reached home, I had a high fever, very bad throat trouble, and headache; also, I was extremely nervous. Next morning I was no better, but went to work as usual, thinking I could overcome this inharmony with the slight knowledge I had of Christian Science. In a little while I found that I was growing worse, and so went home. I immediately appealed to a practitioner for help, and the following morning the fever was gone and I was able to be up and about the house. On the second morning all manifestations of the ailment had entirely disappeared, and I was able to go to my work well and happy, as usual, and there has been no return of the trouble.

I am especially grateful for this healing, since before coming into Science I was subject to such attacks, and under medical treatment was always confined to my room for about a week. During the four years that Christian Science has been in our home, it has indeed proved an ever-present help. In the Preface to Science and Health (p. vii) our Leader has said, and truly, "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, today is big with blessings."
