It is with pleasure and deep gratitude that I give my testimony. I was a member of an orthodox church for twenty-three years, but a scoffer at Christian Science, although I did not understand anything about it. My husband and I had occasion, however, to be in a Christian Science home, one of the members being a practitioner, and I was soon impressed with their love for one another, and saw that they possessed a religion superior to mine.

I was at that time wearing a heavy brace for spinal curvature (pronounced tuberculosis), and upon being askey why I wore it, I replied that it was my only means of support. I was then told that God never afflicted any one and He would heal me of my trouble. While talking to the practitioner the second day after having Christian Science explained to me, I experienced a pressure on my shoulders such as I had never felt, and I said that if there ever was a demonstration of Truth's power this was surely one. I had the brace removed, and have never felt the need of it since.

I had been living in constant fear, never going without the brace day or night. For two years I could not even sit up to be bathed without it, and I had been troubled with the spinal affection for eight years. Besides this I had suffered greatly with rheumatism for a number of years, also a bad form of stomach trouble, all of which have disappeared since I became interested in Christian Science. I took treatment for three weeks, and was healed in November, 1911. I have never used any material remedy since, but before that time I was continually traveling for my health, though nothing afforded more than temporary relief until I found that God is the source of every good and perfect gift.
