I wish to give thanks to God for Christian Science

I wish to give thanks to God for Christian Science. I was healed of a large abdominal growth after a well-known surgeon had said that my condition called for a dangerous operation; but instead I had Christian Science treatment, and the healing resulted. Six months after this, the growth appeared in another place; and though I had some treatments, it continued to grow larger for a year, when suddenly I became very ill from it. The physician of the family in which I was nursing at the time, was called in. He said that I was in a most precarious condition, and that I should waste no time in getting to a hospital and having the growth removed. I did not tell him that I was interested in Science, but went to my own home and sent word to the same practitioner who had helped me before, asking for treatment, and within three weeks I was perfectly well. The growth had entirely disappeared, and I had become normal in size. With the second healing I felt that the fear of the disease was gone forever.

Since I first became interested in Christian Science I have been healed of a stomach affection of four years' standing, acute throat trouble, and a tendency to take cold; indeed, I have been helped in many, many ways by this truth. For all this I am most thankful to God, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy.
