For many years I was a sufferer from nearly all kinds of diseases, to the extent of having sixteen physicians, besides using many remedies; but they all failed, and I was given up. I then turned to Christian Science, though I had heard little about it at that time. I called a practitioner, got a copy of Science and Health, and in two weeks I was able to travel fifteen miles on the train, and from there drove six miles in a hack. Since that time I have done my own work and have found peace and happiness.

On one occasion we called a practitioner to help my daughter in a case of childbirth. She got along finely, and within two weeks she moved thirty-eight miles took care of three little children, and did the work for five, including the washing. Besides myself and daughter, my husband was healed of several ailments. In a case of injury a doctor was first called, but could not help him. The condition appeared to be very serious before he had Christian Science treatment. He was also healed of a fever, and a badly injured limb.

With the help of divine Love I am able to do the work for ourselves and others. We are truly glad to read the good works of our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy. She has been so faithful that one may well strive to follow in her footsteps and rejoice to call her Leader.
