DARKNESS DISPELLED

In Love no darkness is—there shadows flee:
Thou mayest rest secure in Love's embrace;
Love ever present may thy refuge be,
Love's morning beams may all these dreams erase.

See 'mid the darkness that soft beaming light!
Thus to thine eyes Truth's light doth first appear,
Increasing with the dawn till blazing bright
The full-orbed sun of Spirit's day is here.

A day undarkened by the fears of sense,
Unchilled by the cold blast of worldly care;
Thou mayest walk therein with confidence,
Thou mayest dwell there peacefully fore'er.
