AMONG THE CHURCHES

CURRENT NOTES.

Los Angeles, Cal.—Eighth Church of Christ, Scientist, has filed articles of incorporation preparatory to securing church property. This church, although counted one of the city churches of the Christian Scientists, is located at Gardena, and has been holding services in a hall for several months.—Los Angeles Tribune.

Nelson, British Columbia.—We held our first services Nov. 24 in our own church, which we have just purchased from the Presbyterians, and we feel that we are going to grow very rapidly from now on. We have, we think, the best church location in the city, and a nice little church that will seat two hundred.—Correspondence.

San Francisco, Cal.—The property of the Christian Science church at the southwest corner of Sacramento and Scott streets has been sold for twenty-three thousand dollars. It was bought by the church and improved with a large frame structure known as Christian Science hall, after the fire, but now that the new edifice at the northeast corner of California and Franklin streets is nearing completion, the up-town holding will not be needed.
