I am glad to have the privilege of showing my gratitude to God for the benefits which myself and our two little boys have received through Christian Science. By request of my husband's sister, we accepted it for our youngest boy when the doctor said that nothing more could be done. The boy was then thought to be dying of spinal trouble and paralysis, caused by poisoning.

The Christian Science practitioner began absent treatment in the morning, and when she came to see him in the afternoon she gave him present treatment, and instructed the nurse who attended the child not to watch him so closely, but to take the Bible, and lift her heart to God by reading the 91st Psalm. By evening the boy was so much improved that it gave us hope, and each day it was joy to see some feature of his former self regained. The other boy was suffering from an ulcerated tooth, which broke on the outside and left a sore which the doctor was unable to heal. He said that he must put the boy under ether to extract the tooth and scrape the bone, but I chose the truth, and contrary to the doctor's verdict the sore was healed in a short time, and one day the tooth dropped out. I was the victim of a variety of female complaints and was not able to leave my bed, but through the help of the practitioner I was soon able to go to work, and have had better health since than I had known for many years.

This was over three years ago, and we have not used any medicine in our house since. We read and study the Lesson-Sermon faithfully, and try to realize that "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494).
