It seems almost like ingratitude when we fail to express...

It seems almost like ingratitude when we fail to express to the world our thankfulness for the many blessings which come to us through the study of Christian Science. It was over twenty years ago, while living in Florida, that I heard of the wonderful healing of my father in Christian Science, my mother, who was living in Illionis at the time, having written me about it. Father was said to have organic heart trouble, and had suffered from it for years. At last the doctors said they could do nothing more for him, and that unless he took care of himself he was likely to pass on at any time.

The change which this healing brought to him and to our home, was not, however, appreciated by the other members of the family, but to me it seemed the first step that led me out of the wilderness of unrest and dissatisfaction. The thought of the divine power which heals never left me during the next five years. When the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," was brought into my home by a visitor, what a blessing it proved to be to me and mine. I had at last found what I had hungered for all my life. Truth has been an ever-present power, and has helped to remove the great fear I had of death; also the greatest fear of all, the false sense of living. This study of Christian Science has changed the whole outlook of my life, and I feel very grateful that I am blessed with the helpful messengers which come to my home, namely, the Sentinel, Journal, and Monitor.
