About three years ago, while diligently pursuing the study of music, I was stricken with the malady known as "piano player's paralysis," and was compelled to discontinue my studies. After many weary months had been spent in the effort to regain the use of my arms, which were utterly helpless the greater part of the time, I became very despondent over my condition. In fact, when I first began to read the Christian Science literature my mental state was such that I did not care to live, believing that I would always be helpless. When assured by a friend that I could be healed through Christian Science, with renewed hope I earnestly began the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. For four months I continued the study, and was convinced that the healing was for me. I then commenced to take treatment, and with my faith, combined with the practitioner's understanding, I was wonderfully healed in two treatments. I have practised all I desired, with no symptoms of a relapse from that time, which is now over two years.

My gratitude for Christian Science cannot be expressed in words. One of my greatest desires is to live so that I may be worthy of the name Christian Scientist.
