[Translated from the German.]

In the fall of 1910 I first heard of Christian Science...

In the fall of 1910 I first heard of Christian Science, through my sister-in-law. Later on I was informed that two practitioners resided at about an hour's distance, and also that they were having weekly readings. I resolved to attend these, and felt that they were indeed serving a good purpose. I asked the practitioner to order Der Herold der Christian Science for me, and am reading the same diligently. Last September I was seized with violent attacks of headache and had to stay in bed without being able to sleep day or night. A physician was called, but even after the third visit he was not able to determine the nature of the troble. He thought it was the beginning of a fever, and that the attack might develop into a nervous disease. As I felt no improvement, I wrote to a Christian Science practitioner and asked him to give me treatment, which he did. From that day on I felt better and noticed an improvement, and in about ten days I again was able to do my work. My wife had treatment shortly before and during childbirth, which accounts for her not having suffered much at the time.

For these blessings we are deeply grateful to God, and also to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for many proofs of the power of Love and Truth.
