With a heart full of gratitude for what Christian Science...

With a heart full of gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me in the ten years that I have been learning to know God as "a very present help in trouble," I give the testimony of my daughter's healing. After a labored confinement, during which physicians and nurses, using every material remedy, did their best in the kindest way, but to no avail, the effects of poison became manifest and were treated medically. But only increased fever resulted, and when certain symptoms appeared the third time both doctors and nurses said further treatment was useless, as death was inevitable in a few hours.

At this point the family decided to turn to Christian Science. A practitioner twenty-five miles distant was called by telephone, and commenced treatment soon after four o'clock, p.m. The improvement was rapid; the purple spots disappeared, and when night came on the patient, free from fever, went to sleep and slept all night. Awaking at dawn, she asked for something to eat and enjoyed a hearty breakfast—the first solid food taken in nearly three weeks. Every hour showed a decided gain; in a week she was up and around the house, and three weeks from the date of the first treatment she rode in a buggy twenty-five miles to hear a Christian Science lecture, looking and feeling strong and well.

I am indeed grateful to Mrs. Eddy for Science and Health, which has taught me to have one God, whose arms are underneath and around us, never failing us when we lean on them.—Mrs. Addie Glass, Fitzhugh, Tex.
