With the psalmist I can say: "Thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling." My life is being so completely transformed by my study of Christian Science that it is difficult to express the change in words, but my heart is so filled with gratitude and love that I want to tell every one who thirsts, as I once did, where to drink that he may never thirst again.
From a condition of great unhappiness and constant mental torture, I have come to a sense of peace and joy which is steadily growing greater. Finding that I was making a failure of my own life, and seeing on all sides men and women without happiness in anything and growing more bitter each year, I decided that even though Christian Science might be all that its critics said, I would overcome the prejudice in which I was steeped; and I did so up to the point where I determined to take advantage of whatever of good was in this Science, to make my life a success if it were possible.
I did not come to Science for physical healing, but previous to my taking up the study I had undergone two surgical operations for an ailment from which I had suffered practically all my life. These operations, which were the last of a long series of material so-called "cures" that I had tried, were said to be successful from a medical standpoint, but the condition was exactly the same afterward and steadily grew worse. After a few months of the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, together with some treatment from a practitioner, I was entirely healed of this trouble. I am more grateful than I can say for the freedom from pain and from the fear of pain. My healing has been physical, mental, and moral. I have been relieved of the necessity of using glasses, which I had worn steadily for six years. I laid them aside without any inconvenience whatever, although I had never been able previously to go without them for more than twenty-four hours without suffering from so doing.
