While reading the testimonies of healing in the Sentinel today, I recalled that I had never yet sent my sheaf of gratitude to our periodicals. Were I to recite all the blessings that have come to me and mine through Christian Science during the past eight years, I could fill many pages. During that period we have relied absolutely upon God, the "great Physician," in all our need, and not one drop of medicine in any form has been used by us. We have two children under seven years, neither of whom knows what medicine is. The knowledge of God gained through the study of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy has met all our needs and enabled us to overcome every physical ill that has presented itself. Christian Science has healed one child of measles and prevented the other from taking it, though they were together all the time; has overcome whooping-cough: destroyed scarlet fever in its incipiency; and besides this has met and overcome every childish difficulty that has come up.

Although I did not come into Christian Science for physical healing. I have received many benefits of that natrue. The first was the overcoming of a severe attack of grip in one treatment, after I had battled with delirium for some twenty-four hours. I was healed of the tobacco habit while reading our text-book one evening, though I had smoked for fifteen years. Social drinking, thought never indulged in to any extent, fell away from me also, but I cannot remember when. My gratitude to Christian Science would be incomplete if I did not bear witness to the fact that I know from experience it is possible today, through the understanding of the allness of God, to heal the sick in Jesus' way and to do the works he did, for God has graciously enabled me to help others as I also have been helped, and in my personal experience I have seen many diseases healed by the application of Christian Science.

I know that I owe all these blessings to the truth which Christ Jesus brought to men, as it is explained by Mrs. Eddy, who by her consecrated life and inspired teaching has brought us a knowledge of "Him whom to know aright is Life eternal" (Science and Health, Pref., p. vii),
