I am grateful for many blessings received in Christian Science, as my thoughts go back to the time when I believed I had nothing to live for and when each morning's awaking from sleep brought a sense of disappointment to find myself still among the living, for I had hoped each night when I closed my eyes that I might never wake. My heart now overflows with love and thankfulness to God for all His goodness to me.

For thirty years I suffered from a bowel trouble, and had taken all kinds of medicine, but got no relief. The doctors told me that I must take medicine the rest of my life, but I have learned it is not needed when we understand the truth, as I have not taken any since my healing in Christian Science and I am now in better health than ever I was in all those many years. Besides having the bowel trouble, I could not hear or speak, and thought I would never be able to do so again; but with the help of a practitioner, I was healed in three weeks. I had also worn glasses for thirty years, and for ten years had used them steadily; but since I have known Christian Science, all my ills have been overcome. I am filled with gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science.
