I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. I had ben suffering for a long time from incipient lung trouble, and had been to doctors who said they could do nothing for me. They gave me some medicine, but it did me no good. I was then asked to to a hospital for such cases, and this I was quite willing to do, in the hope that I might get free of the disease, as I used to become much depressed in thinking that I would never be any better.

I was then advised by a lady to see what Christian Science would do for me, and at the same time she gave me a copy of the Sentinel. When I reached home I read it, but could not understand it. On the following Thursday the lady sent to say that a practitioner would see me if I would go to her, and this I was only too pleased to do, I was given treatment, and after a most helpful talk about Christian Science I felt the benefit at once. I shall never forget it, I felt so thankful to the practitioner. My home was in the village called Sevenoaks, Weald, three miles from the town, but the lady who first told me of Christian Science was so kind as to put me in a house close to where the practitioner saw her patients. I had to be taken in a cab to the house, being too weak to walk, but at the end of five days I was able to walk home and back again, the distance being between six and seven miles. I was there for five weeks, and I cannot express how well I felt when I came away. After my healing divine Love opened the way whereby I was given a situation at Hove near Brighton, among Scientists.

I am very thankful to God for what Christian Science has done for me, as I am perfectly healed of the lung disease and have been healed of many other ailments, such as headache, toothache, day and night sweats, etc. If it had not been for Christian Science, I know I should not be free now. At first it seemed to me very hard to understand its teaching, as I had not heard of it before. I should like to say that what helped my mother and myself very much was the understanding that God is the only Father and Mother of man. I am also very thankful to the dear Leader who has brought to the world the light which was so greatly needed. I am only a young girl, but I intend to study Christian Science and live in harmony with its teachings.
