In the Sentinel of March 10, 1906, is an account of my healing in 1898. Should I longer withhold my testimony as to the never-ceasing efficiency of Christian Science since that time "the very stones would cry out." In working recently in an apiary (introducing new queens, strengthening weak colonies, etc.), it would have been an impossibility had I not in some measure the spiritual understanding of God as the one Mind, revealed through the teachings of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.

One lesson I gleaned from the bees, namely, that the colonies most inaccessible—overgrown with vines or small bushes, the entrance almost obstructed by long grass—were the ones that were strongest and yielded the greatest surplus of honey. This led me to ponder the thought of our Leader, that "the more difficult seems the material condition to be overcome by Spirit, the stronger should be our faith and the purer our love" (Science and Health, p. 410). I have had very many beautiful proofs of the healing and saving qualities of Christian Science. When I fully realize that "all of God's creatures moving in the harmony of Science are harmless, useful, indestructible" (Ibid., p. 514), I can work for days without getting a sting, and can help others. When I do get a sting I have an ever-present remedy, "divine Love, which makes harmless the poisonous viper" (Ibid., p. 243).

After twelve years' experience of Christian Science under severe tests, I can truthfully say it has not failed in any hour of need. Gratitude to our beloved Leader can be expressed only by daily efforts to put in practice what she has so lovingly and unselfishly taught.
