I wish to express my gratitude for a few of the many demonstrations I have had of Truth's power. Christian Science was first brought into our home through the healing of my mother, who had rheumatism, but she was entirely healed in a very short time. It was about four years ago that I first caught a glimpse of this great truth for myself through the healing of a finger which had been badly crushed, but by knowing the power of Truth I was able, in three or four hours afterward, to go out and play ball, as my finger was perfectly healed.

Not long ago I had another good demonstration, which was a wonderful proof to me that man has a sensationless body, and that God is with us always and is an ever-present help in time of trouble. One morning, while working in a bookbinding concern, I was cutting the round corners on a book by a machine, when suddenly part of my finger got caught under the clamp and was very badly injured. I at once declared the truth, which helped me greatly. I met the pain in an instant. Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 392), "Stand porter at the door of thought. Admitting only such conclusions as you wish realized in bodily results, you will control yourself harmoniously." In a short time the part of my finger which had been cut off was restored, and I can truly say my finger is as good as it ever was.

I have had many other demonstrations, and I know that God leads me and is with me always. Words can never express my gratitude for the many blessings I have had since I have been brought into this great truth, for all of which I am very, very thankful.
