A critic is reported as "scoring ... blasphemous...

A critic is reported as "scoring ... blasphemous things, such as Christian Science." It is no doubt true that Christian Science differs in some points from the creeds of the other Christian churches, but this does not make its teachings blasphemous or unscriptural. Christian Science teaches that God is perfect; that He is infinite intelligence and Love; that He is the only creator and that His creation is as perfect as Himself. It has too much reverence for God to charge Him with the responsibility for all the sin, suffering, and disaster that mar the peace and happiness of mankind. Christian Scientists are taught that they must worship God and God alone, and that they must worship Him as a kind, loving Father who tenderly cares for all His creatures and who is a perfect protection to those that trust Him.
Christian Science recognizes but one Christ, "the only begotten Son of the Father," who is infinitely greater than any personality, and through whom alone man can be saved from sin and sickness. Most of those who follow its teachings have come from some of the other churches, and they are unanimous in saying that they have more reverence for the Bible and study it with greater interest than in their previous experience. A candid study of this teaching would reveal the fact that it is very different from the popular conceptions of it.
