I want to make a just acknowledgment of what Truth...
I want to make a just acknowledgment of what Truth has done for me. Some time ago, at the earnest solicitation of a friend (who is not a Christian Scientist), I consented to call a Christian Science practitioner. I was then, and had been for more than seven months, taking medicine regularly for a stomach and bowel disorder. For nearly ten years I had taken various remedies for this condition, but had gotten only temporary relief. The practitioner came in the forenoon, and among other things told me to discontinue the medicine. I did as directed and the difficulty was speedily overcome. Mine was surely a case of instantaneous healing. Two of my teeth had been aching for about ten days before the practitioner came to see me. My teeth were so sensitive that I could not eat with comfort, but soon after the first treatment in Christian Science I had my last toothache. I can now masticate everything thoroughly.
I am sure that no man enjoyed a cigar more than I, but in less than sixty days after I had turned to Christian Science, my desire for tobacco disappeared. This was accomplished without any effort on my part. I made no resolutions, although I had done so a few times before without success. I have endeavored to state the facts just as they have occurred. Inquiries will be cheerfully answered.—N. A. M. Ralston, Middletown, Ohio.
