THE DAWN OF PEACE

Earth called it grief, 'twas but beliefThat came to claim an hour;Truth absolute, heart resolute,Knows God the only power.

My faith is firm, and hope doth burnThat peace comes with the morrow;My trust is sure, and thought made pure,That joy comes after sorrow.
