AMONG THE CHURCHES

The Christian Scientists at Nashville yesterday [July 5] came into full and complete possession of the Church of the Advent building, on Seventh avenue. Twenty-three thousand dollars in cash was paid over, making a total of thirty-one thousand dollars in cash paid for the building, eight thousand dollars having been paid some time ago. A fund has also been created by the Christian Scientists for use in repairs and improvements to the building, the work on which will begin at once and continue for several weeks. The deed on the property was filed yesterday and there is no incumbrance whatever on the church.
