Christian Science found me about six years ago, suffering from a very severe form of skin disease, also an attack of asthma, both of which I had had since childhood, having been sent to Colorado in 1882 as a last resort for the asthma. I was healed of it in four treatments in Christian Science. After having been treated for the other ailment for about two months, I was advised to "work out" my own salvation; so I got a copy of our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and went to work. The healing seemed slow, but it gave me more time to study and a better understanding of the truth that makes us free—free sin, disease, and fear.

The most wonderful experience, which proved to me that with God all things are possible, was my healing in an acute attack of lung trouble. I went to bed about noon, after calling a practitioner by telephone and asking for help. The practitioner came to the house in about two hours, finding me unable to turn over in bed. He was with me until three o'clock, when I went to sleep. At six I awoke, dressed, had a light lunch, and with my daughters attended a reception until nine O'clock in the evening. I then went to the railroad office where I am employed, and worked the rest of the night. The healing was complete. There was not a sign of pain or soreness.

I am very grateful for the understanding which Christian Science has given me of God,—grateful to God, and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I am also grateful that through the little understanding which I have I can help others to find Truth, and I daily pray that I may have more of that Mind in me "which was also in Christ Jesus."
