About two years ago I heard of Christian Science, but did not give it any consideration at the time. A year ago last fall I was suddenly taken ill. I lost all appetite, became greatly reduced in flesh, and at last reached a state where my relatives considered me to be at death's door. Toward the end of February I felt obliged to go on a business trip. A week before this pains in the side were added to my discomfort, so that I could hardly breathe. A physician to whom I applied in my extremity, for examination and treatment, stated that the condition was very serious. Remedies were applied for several days, but my general health did not improve and the pain in the side continued, so that it did not seem to be possible for me to go on my trip. I then called upon a Christian Science practitioner, and asked for treatment, which she gave me. During the following night I rested peacefully, and went on my trip, during which I experienced no pain, despite unpleasant weather. The appetite gradually returned, and I was again able to eat everything without its causing any disturbance. I have also been freed from headaches, with which I had suffered almost constantly during the past twenty years. This result is due solely to Christian Science, for which I herewith wish to express my sincerest gratitude.
