For eight years I was a more or less constant sufferer from asthma, being so weak during some attacks that I could not stand alone, and lying down was an impossibility. Various remedies were tried in turn, but they finally failed to give even temporary relief. Change of climate was tried, but a three-years residence in Arizona did not change conditions. Osteopathy then had its turn, but after a time gave no help. During the summer of 1908 I suffered an unusually severe and persistent attack, which completely disheartened me; I became very weak and thin, and night after night the same struggle recurred, sleep being out of the question.

After two months of this acute suffering, I turned to Christian Science for help. The first treatment gave me wonderful relief, and the iron bands that had seemed to hold me were removed. Treatment was continued for two weeks, when the healing was complete. The sense of freedom which my healing has given me—the knowledge that I am free to pursue my work anywhere, and that I am not a victim of heredity or material conditions—has been invaluable. My appreciation cannot be expressed in words; only by taking the divine Principle, that makes such freedom possible, to be my guide and stay, can I show my gratitude.—Nigel de Brulier, Los Angeles, Cal.
