THE ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, was held in the church edifice Monday, June 6, and the reports submitted by the Treasurer and Clerk were most satisfactory and encouraging. The substantial growth of the movement was illustrated by the statement that one hundred and four more branch churches and societies were advertised in The Christian Science Journal on June 1, 1910, than were advertised one year previous, indicating that new churches and societies holding public services were being formed at the rate of one every three and a half days. The Clerk announced that William D. Baldwin of New York had been elected President of the church for the ensuing year, and that Stephen A. Chase and J. V. Dittemore had been reelected Treasurer and Clerk, respectively. The reports of the work that is being done by the branch churches and societies in Europe were particularly interesting and satisfactory.

Much gratitude was manifested for the wise and splendid leadership evinced by Mrs. Eddy, and as an expression of this gratitude the following letter was unanimously ordered to be sent to her.

Letter to Mrs. Eddy.
Boston, June 6, 1910. Rev. Mary Baker Eddy, Brookline, Mass.
