Words fail to express my gratitude for what Christian Science...
Words fail to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me and mine. In August, 1908, when our little daughter was taken with a fever, we called a Christian Science practitioner and the fever was overcome in about two weeks. She continued to improve for about three weeks; then she seemed to go back, and all the after effects of the fever set in, so that in a short time she was terribly reduced, but with the help received through a Christian Science practitioner she was thoroughly restored to health again.
I would like to state that during the time when the hours seemed darkest I was called to help another in trouble. On Monday night a mother called me over the telephone and asked me to help her year-old baby. At first I hesitated, as it seemed I had all I could do, but I thought that God could surely restore two as well as one, and I could only trust Him. I did so, and by Wednesday the child was much improved, and in two weeks was perfectly well.
For these and many other blessings I feel most grateful to God, and also to Mrs. Eddy, who in living so close to God was enabled to give us this truth that teaches us how to understand God. My sincere desire is that I may be worthy to be called a loyal Christian Scientist.
