In December, 1907, I met with an accident which injured my hip and was very painful. Not believing in material methods, I asked my wife to write to a Christian Scientist, as there was none near us. She did so, and I was relieved as soon as the practitioner received the word, and I was healed in a short time. I also wish to say that a year ago I had a nephew treated for the liquor habit by the same practitioner, and he now rejoices in his freedom from such bondage. Words cannot express my thankfulness for what Christian Science has done for me and mine. I am striving to learn more of the truth which our Leader has discovered for us.—John R.
