Having found my health and a priceless and practical truth in Christian Science. I gladly testify of it, hoping it may help a weary searcher for the truth and for health, such as I was about three years ago. While I was visiting in Johannesburg, an acquaintance advised me to go to the Christian Science Reading Room just opened in that city. The first Sentinel which came to hand interested me, and after I had read a bit I asked the lady in attendance whether there were any practitioners in South Africa. I was then a sufferer from hereditary asthmatic trouble, besides other ailments, all of long standing. I had tried several doctors, various remedies, etc., all without getting any permanent relief. It was then that Christian Science treatment was given me, and I received in a week more help than in all the previously given material treatments combined.

Under the application of this blessed truth a peace of mind came to me such as I had not experienced since childhood, which left to me no doubt as to the truth of Christian Science. Life had seemed a burden to me, but through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," health and happiness have been restored and life is now a blessed privilege. Being a Hollander, I thank God that I got acquainted with the English language, and I am now rejoicing in the beautiful unfolding of the truth, which has made the Bible a new book to me. I thank God, and am grateful to His faithful messenger, Mrs. Eddy, for giving this pearl of great price to the world and to me. I am striving meanwhile to live a life worthy of the name Christian Scientist.
