Eleven years ago a wonderful case of healing through Christian Science took place in my home, at a time when the attending physicians had given the patient but a few hours to live. This so impressed my husband and myself that we at once purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." and took up the study of God and man according to its teaching. Since then we have never turned to material means for help, as this truth has met our every need.

Six years ago a son came to us, and I can bear witness that the curse has been removed which said, "In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children." for peace and joy were with me during all the time. With but one exception the child has never been ill. An eruption appeared on his back, but with the thought of our Father, the one name to be hallowed and revered, the disease was completely healed in a short time. An older child, after having been ill a week with every indication of acute lung trouble, was almost instantaneously healed with the declaration and realization of the truth. This same child had a horse step on his little bare foot, and as I was away from home at the time, he did his own work in Science. Upon my return home another member of the family told me of the occurrence, in wonder at the child's courage and endurance.

A disease, diagnosed as a skin trouble by a physician, attacked me at one time. My grandparents had contracted this disease during the Civil War, from nursing the soldiers, and had passed away within a week of each other. In consequence, my family were much alarmed at my illness, and predicted many calamities if medical attention were not given me. My grandfather had practised medicine very successfully, according to the allopathic school, yet could not save either himself or his wife: so I felt I was safer in God's hands, and with the aid of a Christian Science practitioner I was completely healed in ten days. With deepest gratitude to the sincere and faithful workers in our midst, my prayer is constantly to strive for more humility, purity, and consecration.
