It is about three years since I accepted Christian Science and gained the life "more abundant," for which I am truly grateful to our heavenly Father. For the wisdom and understanding contained in Science and Health I am deeply grateful to our dear Leader, who was found worthy to be used of God to do so grand and noble a work for humanity. We have had many demonstrations of Truth's power in our home, giving us proof that God is indeed with us. I was healed of general weakness in the first week that I read Science and Health. I was really waiting and hungry for the truths it teaches.

A daughter who was visiting me became terribly ill and was given up by the doctor. She had lain from Saturday until the following Thursday, retaining no food, and having constantly recurring convulsions. The morning I telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner she had been in a stupor for hours, but in twenty minutes after I communicated with the Scientist she became conscious and asked for food. She retained all she took, and she was very hungry. She used no medicine after this, and discharged her doctor. In a few days she did a strenuous day's shopping without any ill effects. One other demonstration was in the case of my little grandson. He had run a rusty nail into his hand, and it was in a bad condition, but he was healed and able to use his hand quite freely within three days. I trust these demonstrations will encourage some one. I realize that we need much love and humility for God's work always.
