As a child I was far from strong, and ill a great deal...
As a child I was far from strong, and ill a great deal of the time. My young womanhood was passed in comparative health, but later on I seemed to be besieged with almost every physical ailment; worst of all, I was afflicted with severe stomach and bowel trouble, and suffered more than words could tell. I was apparently growing worse each day, and just when life became such a burden it did not seem worth having, Christian Science came to me. A very dear friend who was visiting us asked me to try it, and when a practitioner called at our home to see her, I decided to avail myself of this opportunity. I began treatment at once, although I was very skeptical about its reaching my particular case, for it seemed almost beyond any help whatever. To my great joy, after a few weeks' treatment the bowel trouble vanished, and later on, one by one, other troubles succumbed. How thankful I am that this wonderful truth was revealed to me, for I feel sure that, aside from physical help, it will uplift and sustain us in every trial which we may have to meet. It seems to me we cannot love and revere Mrs. Eddy too much for searching out this glorious truth for us.
