I first came to Christian Science for healing, as nothing...
I first came to Christian Science for healing, as nothing else would ever have interested me in it. I was suffering so much from my feet that I could not do a day's work. I thought this trouble came from my standing so much, as my work requires my being on my feet all day, and had concluded to give up my work when I was advised to try Christian Science treatment. I did so to please the one who asked me, for I had no faith in it. I was helped immediately, and am now working ten hours or more each day without any pain or inconvenience whatever. When I applied for treatment the soles of my feet were almost entirely calloused, and were so sore that the least roughness in the pavement would cause intense pain. To-day there is hardly a sign of this condition, and I walk anywhere with comfort and ease.
It is now over two and a half years since I took my first treatment, and I could fill pages with the narration of benefits received in business, in my home, in my education, and most of all from the wonderful explanation of the Bible given in our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I shall never be able to express the gratitude I feel to her for giving us this truth, without which I feel that my life could but have been a miserable existence.
