The history of the Christian Science movement and of its Leader plainly shows that she had to blaze the trail for herself, relying solely upon the guidance of the Scriptures and the teaching and demonstration of Jesus the Christ in giving this Science to the world. Faith-healers have appeared from time to time, wrought miracles, and disappeared, together with their works. Christian Science, however, founded as it is on an exact and demonstrable Principle, has nothing in common with such ephemeral phenomena of human belief, but gives to its beneficiaries not only the physical healing which they seek, but also a working knowledge of its Principle, which they can in turn apply for themselves and others in the healing of sickness, sin, and all discordant human conditions.
