I have long felt a desire to express my gratitude for Christian Science, but can never tell half of what it has done for me. I appreciate so much the testimonies of others in the Sentinel and Journal that I shall feel glad if mine may be helpful to some one. From my earliest remembrance I was afflicted with rheumatic and heart trouble, etc., in their worst form. My parents did all they could for my comfort, but were told by the physicians attending me that I would never be any better unless my teeth were extracted. They were taken out, but this was followed by spinal trouble. After suffering for nearly two years, I got up, but on crutches. I seemed to get better in some ways, but the heart and lung trouble remained with me,—we supposed it was inherited. Finally my health gave way entirely; and by this time I had no loving parents to look to for comfort; no home, no money, and I had four small children to support.

In this condition I turned to Christian Science for help. Truly "man's extremity is God's opportunity," for I received all and more than I ever dreamed of, and I was healed of every symptom of disease in less than one week's treatment. The practitioner to whom I went explained the Scriptures to me so clearly that I understood for the first time that the blessed promises Christ Jesus made so long ago were really for me if I would only accept and use them. "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest," has been fulfilled in my case. When I think of our dear Leader I cannot find words to express my gratitude for what she has done and is still doing for me and mine and for all mankind.
