THE LECTURES

In Beethoven Saal Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 20, a lecture on Christian Science was delivered by the Hon. Clarence A. Buskirk, member of the Board of Lectureship of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, Mass., U.S.A. The lecture was well attended, more than seven hundred people being present, showing an increase in general interest in Christian Science in Berlin. In introducing the lecturer, Mr. Robert Kuehnert, resident American can attorney, said in part, —

As one of the many who are present here to-day and who like myself are not Christian Scientists, at least not as yet, I only desire to offer a few observations on this interesting subject, now engaging the attention of the cultured and educated circles of society and of all persons of independence of thought and reasoning. Christian Science is being looked into, and is gaining ground all over the world the more it is examined and scrutinized.
